In 1991 as an event organizer, I set out to secure corporate sponsors for my regional youth sports festival. Within a span of 4 months, I secured $2,000,000 in corporate sponsors.
Once word got out about my success the local chamber’s executive director Marion Brittan asked me to put on a 1-day seminar to teach other nonprofits in the area how I did it. 150 nonprofits show-up on a Saturday. I was amazed.
